Qu’il semble loin le temps du petit atelier de ferronnerie d’art, où pendant plusieurs décennies de nombreux clients de la région venaient se fournir en portails, garde-corps, volets et portes. Pour répondre aux commandes en provenance de toutes les régions françaises, l’usine-mère s’installe en 1964 sur son site actuel à Besançon, rue Gay Lussac. Après maintes évolutions et agrandissements, Mantion prend la décision, en 2011, de rationaliser l’usine de Besançon. Entre 2011 et 2014, sans baisse du niveau de service ni arrêt des chaînes de fabrication, le site est entièrement repensé et transformé. It is hard to imagine that it all began with a small wroughtiron workshop, which, for decades, supplied numerous customers from the region with gates, guardrails, shutters and doors. At that time, Mantion already stood for quality. With orders pouring in from all over France, in 1964, the company built its main manufacturing plant at Rue Gay Lussac in Besançon, where it still stands today. In 2011, after years of development and expansion, Mantion decided to streamline its plant in Besançon. The site was completely overhauled and transformed between 2011 and 2014, without reducing service capacity or interrupting any production lines. Pari réussi ! The bet paid off! L’opération, bien que fort délicate, permet au groupe Mantion de poursuivre sa croissance. L’usine affiche un gain de 4500 m2 de surface industrielle tout en doublant sa capacité de stockage pour atteindre 10.000 palettes. La rationalisation de l’usine de Besançon permet d’optimiser les process de production et renforce la compétitivité.
